We present a simple model which allows us to examine equilibrium properties and kinetics of phase separation in systems of industrial relevance, namely polymers in supercritical solution. After a brief overview of the general phase diagram we focus on the dynamics of phase separation in the mixture. We will show two animations of bubble nucleation and spinodal decomposition. We will explain how the type of phase diagram influences the occurance of interfacial wetting thus decreasing interfacial tension. Finally, we will present evidence that for small nuclei the free energy and hence the nucleation barrier is lower than expected by classical theory of homogeneous nucleation.
