Transport Properties of YBa2Cu3O7−δ Grain Boundaries Above and Below Tc — •Christof Schneider, Stefan Hembacher, German Hammerl, Alexander Weber, Andreas Schmehl, and Jochen Mannhart — Experimentalphysik VI, Institute of Physics, Augsburg University
The mechanisms responsible for the superconducting transport across cuprate grain boundaries have been to a large extend experimentally clarified. Here we mention the dx2−y2 dominated order parameter symmetry, structural effects and bending of the electronic band structure. In contrast there is little knowledge of the grain boundaries’ electronic transport properties above and in the vicinity of Tc, a potential key to understand the physics of interface properties in these complex oxides. In the presentation, first measurements of transport across cuprate grain boundaries between 4.2 and 300 K will be shown and discuss.
