Quasiclassical Theory of Ferromagnet/Superconductor Bilayers — •Thomas Lück — Institut für Physik, Universität Augsburg, Augsburg, Germany

We solve the Eilenberger equation for ferromagnet/superconductor bilayers; the order parameter is determined selfconsistently. This allows us to study the critical temperature of such systems from the clean to the dirty limit. Moreover we examine the influence of a Fermi surface mismatch between the ferromagnet and the superconductor, which leads to a reduced transmission probability even for an ideal interface between both materials.

When increasing the thickness of the ferromagnetic layer the critical temperatures shows an oscillating behavior [1]. We find that both, the scattering strength and the Fermi surface mismatch, have strong influence on the critical temperature. Additionally we present the density of states in the superconducting state.
