Snapshots of Magnetic Flux Penetration on a Nanosecond Timescale — •Daniel Schmidt, Björn Biehler, Uwe Bolz, Bernd-Uwe Runge, and Paul Leiderer — University of Konstanz; Universitätsstr. 10; 78457 Konstanz
We present latest results on how magnetic flux penetrates into thin superconducting YBCO films along a line heated by a fs-laser. The time resolution in the nanosecond range is obtained by Faraday rotation magneto optics. s vs. t plots will be presented. Additionally we studied under which conditions it is possible to nucleate dendrites in MgB2 and YBCO. We found that the nucleation of dendrites depends not only on temperature and exernal field but also on the size of the area, which is heated.
