Maximum measuring range, nevertheless high resolution is of increasing importance for the measuring of physical sizes. The first example of a series of sensors is the vacuum - transmitter THYRACONT type VSP62 along with the new principle, which one calls in the modern surgery No-dqminimum-invasiveNo-dq. The action in the measuring objects is limited on the absolutely necessary measure to get sufficient reliable measuring - signals.
In the vacuum - measuring technology it is still usual heat up the gauges on a controlled temperature level. High supply power is necessary to get this condition upright.
The new concept (Pat. pend.) will replace this principle by a special pulse process. The novel process is based on the knowledge, that the desired piece of information, the subject of the condition of the measuring object, is contained already in the starting course or tendency of the respective sensor-signal.
Using the example of the Pirani - thermal conduction - vacuum sensor this is good to observe. A Figure shows three temperature courses on the subject of the stretch of time at a Pirani sensor at 3 different vacuum levels, if the sensor is supplied with constant power.
Thereby the temperature Ta is reached at the lowest, the temperature Tc at the highest pressure.
