Production of cold antihydrogen atoms in ATHENA — •Rolf Landua — CERN, Geneva, Switzerland
The ATHENA experiment at CERN’s Antiproton Decelerator (AD) has recently produced large numbers of cold antihydrogen atoms, paving the way towards laser spectroscopy of antihydrogen and high precision comparisons of matter and antimatter atoms. The talk will give an overview about the latest results on antihydrogen production and its dependence on antiproton and positron plasma parameters, followed by an outlook on future developments."
