Adaptive quantum networks — •Stefan Probst and Matthias Freyberger — Abteilung für Quantenphysik, Universität Ulm, 89069 Ulm
In classical data processing also learning systems are used besides of problem-specific developed algorithms. Such a system can be represented by a network of small adaptable units. In the field of quantum information such an adaptive quantum network can be built up by simple adaptable quantum-mechanical operations. We discuss, how such a network can be developed and if there are advantages compared to classical adaptive systems. In particular we analyse whether such systems can be used for pattern recognition.
