Dynamical ozone climatology based on ozonesonde and satellite measurements — •Lok Lamsal, Mark Weber, and John Burrows — Institute of Environmental Physics,University of Bremen,Germany

Based upon multi-year data base of satellite (SAGE and POAM) and sonde measurements, a dynamical ozone climatology has been prepared. Total ozone has been used as the dynamical proxy.The climatology is based on ozone observation from 1990 to 2001 and are grouped into equator, midlatitude and polar region of both hemispheres. Ozone profiles are sorted in terms of total ozone and mean profiles and standard deviations are derieved for each class (30 DU) of total ozone. The climatology will be used for Optimal Estimation Method as a-priori information in the ozone profile retrieval from GOME and SCIAMACHY.
