Can higher Hoelder exponents of an active tracer field be evaluated — •H. Lustfeld1 and Z. Neufeld2 — 1Forschungszentrum Jülich, IFF, 52425 Jülich — 2Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics, University of Cambridge, Silver Street, Cambridge CB3 9EW, United Kingdom
Concentrations of chemically active tracers, e.g. pollutants in the
atmosphere,
may have a complex spatial structure. It has been shown that such a
structure can be characterized by a Hoelder exponent[1]. We show here
that for a complete characterization
a set of Hoelder exponents is needed. We compare our results with data from
various models.
