SU(2) Yang-Mills-Theory in D=2+1 dimensions — •Claus Feuchter und Hugo Reinhardt — Institut für Theoretische Physik Universität Tübingen
We study the SU(2) Yang-Mills Schrödinger equation in 2+1 dimensions in the Coulomb gauge. Using a variational ansatz for the ground state wave functional, a coupled set of non-linear integral equations for the various Greens functions (gluon and ghost) is derived. We use analytical and numerical methods to investigate the set of these integral equations. The relevance of the infrared properties of these greens functions for confinement is discussed.
