The chiral phase transition at finite chemical potential in Landau gauge QCD — •Dominik Epple, Reinhard Alkofer, Christian S. Fischer, and Hugo Reinhardt — Institut für Theoretische Physik, Universität Tübingen, Auf der Morgenstelle 14, 72076 Tübingen
We investigate the chiral phase transition at finite quark chemical potential in Landau gauge QCD by solving the corresponding Dyson-Schwinger equation for the quark propagator. We employ ansätze for the quark-gluon vertex such that the quark mass function is independent of the renormalisation point and has the correct anomalous dimension. The interaction kernel of the gap equation is taken from a full unquenched calculation of the gluon, ghost and quark Dyson-Schwinger equations [1,2,3] or alternatively from lattice calculations [4]. We encounter a chiral phase transition at a chemical potential of roughly the order of the generated quark masses.
