Transfer reactions enable to investigate the shape coexistence of e.g. deformed and spherical 0+ states in Mg isotopes around the island of inversion at N ≈ 20. 2n transfer reactions from a radioactive 10Be target provide a distinct trigger via the two α particles ejected from the intermediate 8Be reaction product. The 10Be targets (t1/2 = 1.6 · 106 a) with a thickness of ≈ 110 µ g/cm2 were produced by micro-evaporation module onto a carbon backing of ≈ 40 µ g/cm2. These 10Be targets will also enable a wide range of transfer experiments, e.g. on the isospin dependance of the 2n pairing gap or resonances in 10He. In order to estimate the cross section of the 2n transfer 10Be(30Mg,32Mg)8Be which is intended to be performed at REX-ISOLDE the preparatory reactions 10Be(26Mg,28Mg)8Be and 10Be(16O,18O)8Be have been studied at the Q3D magnet spectrograph in Garching. For a better understanding theoretical DWBA-calculations using the Coupled-Channel Code FRESCO [1] have been performed. *Supported by DFG under contract number HA 1101/6-1
