Electromagnetic polarizabilities are an important tool to study the inner structure of nucleons. The electric polarizability αE and the magnetic polarizability βM are calculated for protons and neutrons in the context of Compton scattering. The analysis is done within the framework of the Perturbative Chiral Quark Model (PCQM) and compared to recent experimental and theoretical results.
