The High Acceptance Di Electron Spectrometer at GSI measures the e−e+ pairs in π, proton and heavy ion reactions upto 2 AGeV. The measurements are expected to throw light on the non-perturbative aspects of QCD. The facility is unique as it will use the secondary pion beam facility at GSI to measure the electromagnetic structure of mesons and baryons in addition to investigating the modification of hadron properties in the nuclear medium. A further advantage of pion induced reactions is that they allow for near recoilless production of ω, enhancing the fraction that decay in the nuclear medium. In this poster we will present the pion beam line simulations for HADES. In particular, the use of hodoscopes in the in-beam line is discussed for eliminating distortions of the di-lepton spectra in HADES caused by high Z material surrounding the liquid hydrogen target. In order to use the liquid hydrogen target, the target region must be modified. Therefore we will present the change in electron detection efficiency of the RICH as a result of modifications of the RICH beam tube.
