Covariant description of glueball dynamics — •Francesco Giacosa, Valery Lyubovitskij, Thomas Gutsche, and Amand Faessler — Institut für Theoretische Physik, Universität Tübingen, Auf der Morgenstelle 14, D-72076 Tübingen, Germany
The existence of a possible glueball is still a controversal point both on theoretical and experimental side. It is still not clear if a pure gluonium state exists or if it mixes with other scalar mesons. A relativistic quark-gluon model is implemented to describe the nature of the gluonium and its possible decays into and mixings with quark-antiquark mesons. A gluonium-gluon term appears explicitly in the Lagrangian, whose coupling constant is determined by making use of the compositness condition.
