Tests and performance of the new readout electronics for the Crystal Ball detector at MAMI — •S. Schumann, R. Beck, D. Krambrich, and M. Unverzagt — Institut für Kernphysik, Universität Mainz, Mainz, Germany
A new experimental program is about to get underway at the Mainz Microtron (MAMI). The experimental apparatus consists of the famous Crystal Ball together with the TAPS detector as a forward wall, and a central tracker. The setup will be equipped with a polarized frozen-spin target to perform high precision, high statistics measurements of neutral meson production. To handle the high event rates, new trigger and readout electronics had to installed. Tests and performance of this new electronic equipment will be presented.
