The infrared behaviour of the gluon and ghost propagators for zero-flavour QCD in Landau gauge is investigated at non-vanishing temperatures. The study is based on an extension of a well understood truncation scheme for Dyson-Schwinger Equations (DSE) at zero temperature [1] to non-vanishing temperature [2].
The results for temperatures below the expected phase transition show only weak temperature dependence. The corresponding CJT effective action will be discussed.
In the high temperature limit the four-dimensional Yang-Mills theory is reduced to a three-dimensional one with an additional adjoint Higgs field. The numerical results obtained from the corresponding DSEs [2] yield a No-dqHiggsNo-dq propagator close to a massive tree-level propagator, indicating the existence of a chromoelectric screening mass at high temperatures. The transverse gluon propagator still is infrared vanishing thus no screening of soft chromomagnetic modes occurs.
