We will report on the progress of the design and construction of a new ultra–low background HPGe detector. This detector will be located at a new low–level research facility (M-Cavern) at the Gran Sasso underground laboratory. This spectrometer builds upon MPIK experience with GeMPI [1].
Research sponsored by MPG, MPI für Kernphysik, Heidelberg and ONL/NRL (Dr. F. Giovanne).
