The Observation of Gamma Ray Bursts with the MAGIC Telescope — •Satoko Mizobuchi and Markus Garczarczyk — Max-Planck-Institut fuer Physik, Foehringer Ring 6, 80805 Muenchen
The MAGIC Telescope has the lowest energy threshold among the ground based gamma-ray telescopes and can be slewed to any direction within 20 seconds. This makes MAGIC is an unique Cherenkov telescope which can observe gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) originating at cosmological distances. I present a study of the possibilities to observe GRBs.
