CVD Diamant Sensors for the Very Forward Calorimeter of a Linear Collider Detector — •Katerina Kouznetsova, Wolfgang Lange, and Wolfgang Lohmann — DESY, Platanenallee 6, 15738 Zeuthen
CVD diamond is considered to be a suitable sensor material for the Luminosity Calorimeter (LCAL) of a linear collider detector. Such sensors maintain their performance up to radiation doses of about 10 MGy. This corresponds the expected dose accumulated by LCAL during 1 year of operation. We started to investigate CVD diamond samples of cm2 area produced at Fraunhofer Institute (Freiburg). Results on electrical features, charge collection distance and homogeneity are presented.
