Study of D^* meson production in diffractive deep-inelastic scattering at HERA — •Svetlana Vinokurova — DESY Hamburg, FH1

Diffractive events are characterized experimentally by a large rapidity gap where no particles are observed. They are attributed to the exchange of a colorless object, which can be interpreted as a pomeron IP. A measurement is presented for D^* production based on an analysis of 1999-2000 data from the H1 detector. The cross section is measured in the diffractive kinematic range with mass of the proton remnant system M_Y < 1.6 GeV, |t| < 1 GeV² and x_IP < 0.04.
