Calculation of resonance transmission probabilities in 1D systems — •Jamal Berakdar, Oleg Kidun, and Natasha Fominykh — Max-Planck-Institut für Mikrostrukturphysik, Weinberg 2, D-06120 Halle, Germany
Extending and using the variable phase approach [1-2] we investigate the phenomena of resonance transmission in one-dimensional systems with non-local interactions. We derive determining equations for the spatial and the energy dependence of the reflection and transmission functions. Applications of the developed method for different objects such as conducting quantum wires with the a single impurity and quantum wells are presented. The advantages of this approach in the studies of nanostructures is discussed.
