Influence of linear chirped excitation pulses on the wavepaket motion in the dye oxazine 1 — •Regina Dürr, Constanze Sobotta, Stephan Malkmus, and Markus Braun — Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, Lehrstuhl für BioMolekulare Optik, Oettingenstraße 67, 80538 München
Coherent excitation of molecular vibrations in a molecule with an ultrashort optical pulse leads to wavepaket motion. This motion can be recorded by pump-probe spectroscopy providing that the crosscorrelation width of pump and probe pulse is shorter than the period of the molecular vibration mode.
We present measurements on the dye oxazine 1 for different values of the linear chirp of the excitation pulse. Effects on the wavepaket motion due to negative and positive chirps are compared.
