Dynamics of electron transfer between semiconductor surfaces and single
molecules is of great interest with regard to single-molecule based
electronic devices.
Energetics and dynamics of different semiconductor:chromophor systems were
studied with fs time and angle resolved two-photon photoemission
spectroscopy and stationary PES. The alignment of occupied and unoccupied
molecular levels with respect to the energy bands of the semiconductor was
measured together with electron dynamics of the semiconductor and electron
transfer dynamics.
Experiments with different chromophores attached to single crystal TiO2
and InP via different spacer and anchor groups will be presented.
