Charge-carrier mobilities in ultrapure organic crystals: Theory and modelling — •Karsten Hannewald and Peter Bobbert — Technische Universiteit Eindhoven, P. O. Box 513, 5600 MB Eindhoven, The Netherlands

We present a novel theory of charge-carrier mobilities in organic crystals, based on an analytical evaluation of the Kubo formula within a mixed Holstein-Peierls model. In combination with ab-initio calculations of the material parameters, our theory represents a direct and easy-to-use method to calculate the temperature dependence of the mobilities. This is exemplified for naphthalene crystals where our results [1] agree well with the experimental data.
