By cooling down the exchange biased Fe/FeF2 bilayer system below the
Néel temperature (TN) of the AFM, a change of the spin
structure in the FM layer is observed by CEMS. The ferromagnetic spins are
always in the sample plane, and an average in-plane rotation of the spins
equivalent to a spin fanning is observed. This spin fanning is reduced
farther away from the interface. The NRS results are consistent with CEMS
observations. A small out-of-plane spin component at the interface of the
AFM layer is also observed. The interfacial spin structure of the AFM
layer
is modeled by an ellipsoidal spin distribution.
