Decay channels for nondispersive two-electron wave packets in periodically driven helium — •Javier Madroñero and Andreas Buchleitner — Max-Planck-Institut für Physik komplexer System
Non-dispersive two-electron wave packets propagating along classical periodic orbits are found in the Floquet spectrum of planar helium driven by an electromagnetic field. We discuss the decay mechanisms which limit the (notwithstanding rather long) life times of these states, with particular emphasis on the decay channel associated with the degree of freedom transverse to the polarization axis of the driving field.
