Quantum gravitational collapse and Hawking radiation — •Carsten Weber — Institut für Theoretische Physik, Universität zu Köln, 50937 Köln

Within the framework of canonical quantization, we discuss the Lemaître-Tolman-Bondi model of gravitational collapse. We recover Hawking radiation from the wave functional and investigate whether singularities can be avoided in the quantum theory.
