The Magnetic Field Configuration of the Neutron Decay Spectrometer aSPECT — •Raquel Muñoz Horta1, Fidel Ayala Guardia1, Stefan Baeßler1, Michael Borg1, Jim Byrne2, Ferenc Glück1, Werner Heil1, Igor Konorov3, Marius Orlowski1, Gerd Petzoldt1, Yuri Sobolev1, Maurits van der Grinten2, Hans-Friedrich Wirth3, and Oliver Zimmer31Institut für Physik, U. In this poster the spectrometer aSPECT is presented. Its working principle – aSPECT is a retardation spectrometer and will measure the proton spectrum in the decay of the free neutron – is explained. Better knowledge of the proton spectrum provides information about the unitarity of the Cabbibo-Kobayashi-Maskawa-Matrix. More specifically, a detailed description of the superconducting coil system and its magnetic field configuration is given.
