In this poster the spectrometer aSPECT is presented. Its working principle – aSPECT is a retardation spectrometer and will measure the proton spectrum in the decay of the free neutron – is explained. Better knowledge of the proton spectrum provides information about the unitarity of the Cabbibo-Kobayashi-Maskawa-Matrix. More specifically, a detailed description of the superconducting coil system and its magnetic field configuration is given.
