Ferromagnetism in the Hubbard-HFz, for large coupling and small filling. — •Marcos Travaglia1, Volker Bach1, and Elliott Lieb2 — 1Mainz University — 2Princeton Universtiy
By HFz-Hubbard model we mean the usual Hubbard model defined on the set of Slater determinants (Hartree-Fock states), whose spin-waves don’t have a spiral motion w.r.t. the lattice but they stay in a plane (z-plane). For this model with small filling we proved that the ferromagnetism takes place for large enough, but finite coupling.
