Resonance scattering of atoms on a two-component BEC — •Michael Grupp, Reinhold Walser, Gerrit Nandi, and Wolfgang P. Schleich — Abteilung für Quantenphysik, Universität Ulm, Germany
In this contribution we investigate the scattering properties of
identical particles on a Bose-Einstein condensate (BEC) [1,2]
with two internal states, trapped in a one-dimensional potential of
finite depth.
We calculate the phase shifts by determining the Boguliubov excitation
spectrum and study
in-elastic scattering processes. Our special interest is the
investigation of
discrete states embedded in the continuum. Here, a phenomenon analogous
to Fano and Feshbach resonances [3,4] occurs.
