We study the electromagnetic field dynamics in quantum graphs connected to external leads, and in the presence of an active medium which provides amplification. We derive nonlinear equations describing the coupled dynamics of the field and of the active medium. For sufficiently strong pumping we find laser emission from the quantum graph. Above the laser threshold we evaluate the emission spectra of quantum graphs, structured by resonances which obey Random Matrix statistics. We expect our theory to be suitable for laser operation in disordered dielectrics, so-called random lasers.
