MC simulation for Gerda — •Xiang Liu — MPI Werner-Heisenberg Institut, Foehringer Ring 6, Muenchen, 80805
Gerda (Germanium Detector Array) is an experiment searching for neutrinoless double-beta decay in Germanium76. A Monte Carlo package based on GEANT4 is being developed in order to simulate signal events as well as background events induced by natural decay, cosmic rays etc. This Monte Carlo package will be used to optimize shielding, detector segmentation and support structures.
