Transverse target spin asymmetry of exclusive rho0 at HERMES — •Armine Rostomyan — HERMES/DESY, Notkestrasse 85, 22607 Hamburg, Germany
Hard exclusive production in deep inelastic lepton scattering provides access to the unknown Generalized Parton Distributions (GPDs) of the nucleon which provide an unified description of hadronic structure. This talk will report the first preliminary results for the target spin asymmetry of the ρ0 production on a transversely polarized hydrogen target at HERMES using the 27.6 GeV HERA positron beam. It has been predicted that the transverse spin asymmetry depends linearly on GPD E. And due to its linear dependence on the GPD E, the transverse spin asymmetry opens the perspective to extract the total angular momentum contributions Ju and Jd of the u and d quarks to the proton spin.
