MSSM neutral Higgs search in the 4b channel with the CMS — •Javier Fernandez — Institut für Experimentelle Kernphysik, Universität Karlsruhe
In the Minimal Supersymmetric extension of Standard Model (MSSM), the coupling of the Higgs boson to a bb quark pair is enhanced by the Higgs doublet vacuum expectation value ratio, tan β . In the high tan β region (tan β > 10), the dominant channel for observing the heavier scalar and the pseudoscalar Higgs bosons is the 4 b-jet final state channel where two b-jets comes from the Higgs decay, and the other b-jets are associated to the Higgs production. Nevertheless the QCD backgrounds, coming not only from events with real b-jets but also from events with mistagged jets, is huge and makes this channel a challenge.
This work presents a study of the observability of the channel within the CMS detector with full simulation for the signal Monte Carlo generation.
