Measurement of Triple Gauge Couplings in γ γ Collisions at the ILC — •Jadranka Sekaric and Klaus Mönig — DESY
In the absence of light Higgs bosons, W bosons become strongly interacting at energies of about 1 TeV contributing to the mechanism of spontaneous electroweak symmetry breaking (EWSB). New physics beyond the Standard Model can manifest itself by new particles produced at a collider or by precision measurements of deviations from their Standard Model values. In order to understand the mechanism of EWSB we examined the sensitive observables to anomalous couplings κγ and λγ and estimated the precision they can be measured with, in the process γ γ → W+W−. The reaction, as well as backgrounds, have been simulated for hadronically decaying W-bosons assuming a set of parameters for the γγ-option of TESLA.
