Single hole dynamics across magnetic order-disorder quantum phase transitions. — •Christian Brünger and Fakher Assaad — Universität Würzburg

We consider a bi-layer Heisenberg model with interplanar (intraplanar) exchange J (J). It is known that as a function of J/J the model shows an order-disorder quantum phase transition. Our aim is to understand the behavior of the single particle spectral function of a doped hole in this magnetic background. In particular, the question of the vanishing of the quasiparticle weight in the vicinity of the quantum phase transition will be addressed. Our calculations are done within a self-consistent Born approximation as well as with the quantum Monte Carlo loop algorithm.
