General Warped Solutions in 6d Supergravity — •Christoph Lüdeling — DESY Hamburg
Higher dimensional theories with warped geometry offer interesting possibilities to address e.g. the hierarchy problem. In warped geometry, the metric is of the form d s2= W(yi) ds42 +γij(yi)dyi d yj, where d s42 is the four-dimensional metric and yi are the additional coordinates . The most famous example of a warped space is the five-dimensional Randall-Sundrum model.
In this talk I will present the general warped solution in six-diemsnional supergravity. The equations of motion are solved, up to an arbitrary holomorphic function. This function determines the warp factor W, and, via its pole structure, the number of branes.
