Analysis of the coincidence rate of muons underground at 320 m w.e. with the CORSIKA Program — •Rodica Tcaciuc — Fachbereich Physik, Universität Siegen, D-57068 Siegen
Extensive Air Showers were simulated using the CORSIKA program for different high energy hadronic interaction models for light and heavy primary elements in the energy range from 170 GeV to 10 PeV with identical and different spectral slopes and zenith angles from 0 to 89 degrees. For the muon component underground at the CosmoALEPH experiment level the computed coincidence rate of muons is well fitted by the Nishimura-Kamata-Greisen formula. A fit of the simulation results to CosmoALEPH data was performed to get information on the chemical composition of Primary Cosmic Rays.
