Within a density-matrix approach, we investigate the quantum kinetics of two Förster coupled semiconductor quantum dots. For the longitudinal Coulomb interaction, the Förster process leads to excitation energy transfer between the two quantum dots. Depending on resonant or nonresonant coupling, a qualitatively different behavior can be observed. Furthermore, we study the combined effects related to Förster transfer and dephasing processes.
