CdSe nanorods were studied using Raman spectroscopy. The spectra reveal an LO peak which is shifted from the bulk Raman frequency by ≈ 3 cm−1. The linewidth and lineshape are also affected. We discuss our results on nanorods without and with ZnSe shells of different sizes.
