GdFe3(BO3)4 is known to be a new multiferroic compound since it exhibits both ferroelectric and antiferromagnetic properties. Little is known about other members of the RFe3(BO3)4 family (R=Eu, Tb, Dy, Ho, ...). We report on thermodynamic properties of Tb- and Y based compounds, i.e. specific heat and magnetization measurements in high magnetic fields and in a wide temperature range.
