He+-He collision processes (with and without active He+ projectile electron) and the effect of projectile potential choice have been investigated theoretically based on the nonperturbative basis generator method (BGM) [1,2] and its two center extension, TCBGM [3]. The analysis of single-particle solutions is performed on the level of the independent particle model with inclusion of the Pauli principle. Ionization, capture, and projectile electron loss cross sections are presented in the energy range from 1 to 10000 keV/amu. Good agreement with available experimental data is found except for projectile electron loss. A detailed comparison between TCBGM and BGM calculations as well as the importance of the correct asymptotic charges on both centers before the collision will be discussed.
