Atomic beam spin echo and parity violating effects — •Timo Bergmann and Otto Nachtmann — Institut für Theoretische Physik, Philosophenweg 16, 69120 Heidelberg
We present a study of the theory of longitudinal atomic beam spin echo (ABSE). A master formula for the description of an atom, traversing stationary electric and magnetic fields is derived and applications concerning parity violating effects in light, hydrogen like atoms are discussed. Parity violating contributions to polarized atomic beams and to geometrical phase factors are investigated. Some ABSE-experiments for the measurement of these effects are suggested and numerical results are shown.
