Global stability of cosmological models — •Lars Andersson — AEI, Am Mühlenberg 1, D-14476 Potsdam, Germany — Department of Mathematics, University of Miami, PO Box 249085, Coral Gables, FL 33124-4250
I will discuss results on nonlinear stability of cosmological models. In particular, I will show the existence of large classes of future complete, inhomogenous cosmological spacetimes. In spacetime dimensions greater than 10, our work allows one to construct large families of vacuum spacetimes with quiescent singularity and asymptotically Friedman behavior in the expanding direction. This talk is based on joint work with Vince Moncrief.
