MP: Fachverband Theoretische und Mathematische Grundlagen der Physik
MP 1: Hauptvorträge Dienstagvormittag
MP 1.2: Invited Talk
Tuesday, March 6, 2007, 09:45–10:30, KIP Gr. HS
Trapped by disorder — •Peter Müller — Institut für Theoretische Physik, Friedrich-Hund-Platz 1, D-37077 Göttingen, Germany
Random Schrödinger operators are a minimal model for describing electronic properties of disordered materials, such as certain alloys, doped semiconductors and amorphous substances. The talk outlines the basic aims and foundations of the mathematical theory of random Schrödinger operators and gives a survey of recent results obtained in this active branch of Mathematical Physics.
