Bounds on DIS Observables from the Color Dipole Picture — Carlo Ewerz, •Andreas v. Manteuffel, and Otto Nachtmann — ITP Heidelberg

From the color dipole picture of high energy photon-hadron scattering we derive bounds on the ratios of deep inelastic reduced cross sections. We find lower and upper bounds for ratios of reduced cross sections taken at the same energy but at different photon virtualities. Confronting the bounds with HERA data we obtain constraints on the range of applicability of the dipole picture.
