Beam heat load measurements in the cold bore superconductive undulator installed at ANKA — •Sara Casalbuoni1, Michael Hagelstein1, Barbara Kostka1, Robert Rossmanith1, Elena Mashkina2, Erhard Steffens2, Frank Zimmermann3, Axel Bernhard4, Daniel Wollmann4, and Tilo Baumbach4 — 1Institute for Synchrotron Radiation, Research Center Karlsruhe, Germany — 2Physics Institute II, Friedrich Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg,Germany — 3CERN, Geneva, Switzerland — 4Laboratory for Application of Synchrotron Radiation, University of Karlsruhe, Germany
The beam heat load in the cold bore superconductive undulator installed at ANKA has been monitored for almost two years. The possible sources of the observed heat load as synchrotron radiation from upstream magnets, image currents, photo-excited electrons and ions will be discussed and compared with the experimental results.
