Search for very-high energy emission of low-peaked BL Lac objects with the MAGIC telescope — •Karsten Berger1, Thomas Bretz1, Daniela Dorner1, Masaaki Hayashida2, Vincenzo Vitale3, and Robert Wagner2 for the MAGIC collaboration — 1Lehrstuhl für Astronomie, Universität Würzburg, Germany — 2Max-Planck-Institut für Physik, München, Germany — 3Universita di Udine, Udine, Italy

The MAGIC telescope, located on the Canary Island of La Palma, is currently the world's largest imaging air Cherenkov telescope, yielding the lowest energy threshold for ground based gamma-ray astronomy. Here we present the first results of our observation campaign on low-peaked BL Lac objects, which has taken place in 2005 and 2006.
