Search for associated Chargino/Neutralino production in final states with three leptons at the DØ detector — Volker Buescher and •Olav Mundal — Dpt. of Physics, University of Bonn, Germany
The DØ experiment at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Illinois, USA) analyzes ppbar collisions at the Tevatron accelerator at a center of mass energy of 1.96 TeV. So far, data corresponding to more than 2 fb−1 have been recorded.
One of the most promising channels in the search for supersymmetric particles at the Tevatron is the associated Chargino/Neutralino production. These SUSY particles decay either directly or via cascades into fermions and the lightest supersymmetric particle (LSP). This can result in a final state of three leptons as well as missing transverse energy. By using Monte Carlo simulation of R-parity conserving SUSY models and Standard Model processes the optimal selection to separate the signal from the background is determined.
In this talk the results of anlyses based on a Run II dataset corresponding to approximately 1 fb−1 are presented.
